Most people in #HigherEd have a very limited understanding of #OpenAccess

This week, FACETS Journal, Canada's first multidisciplinary journal launched, and I have been tweeting about it over @YorkUScientists.

In 2015, Lucas Colantoni and I investigated the state of knowledge amongst my colleagues and his student peers, about what Open Access means.

We found, that while nearly everyone has heard of Open Access, not many people in STEM at YorkU understand or appreciate its diversity and complexity.
